Ocean Roses is a short RPG set in the country of Vydrin, where one young Pavel and Sonya have to defend their home from invading forces.

Ocean Roses is a short RPG adventure following Pavel, a soldier in the country of Vydrin, fighting to protect Castle Mytrogod from invading forces. For the first act, he is joined by Sonya, an archer, and is later joined by the Prince, Maksim Georgiev.

This game uses a CTB Battle System, a unique battle formula, and multiple waves of enemies in special encounters. Additionally, it borrows a campfire system from Souls-like games, making traversing the castle and finding loot/accessories simple and accessible.

This game was made for the RPGMAKER 2025 Game Jam, borrowing elements from another game I was workshopping (mainly, the world and some game design elements). It's my first published game after working on some other unreleased projects, and I feel I learned a lot, coding and mapping-wise, as well as letting me ramble through characters.
