Patch 1.1

• I forgot to add conditions for one of the story-related events responsible for cutscenes in the third chapter, causing it to trigger early. I added them here, otherwise the story skips a section at the start of the chapter.
• There are some places I believe you can get stuck on due to move routes, namely the guards at the Cavendish Gate/Mines. If you approach both characters directly from the bottom, there shouldn't be an issue. (The game autosaves frequently, so if this happens, just approach them from a different angle).
• The quest function of the game is not finished, so you can get rid of the quest window by toggling it in the options menu.

This project was made for the ToastyTime Rpg Maker game jam.

I unfortunately ran out of time since this is the first project I've done a lot of writing for and with such little time to spare, I barely had time to play test it. While scrambling to upload, I found like 3 game-breaking bugs ;~~~; (they're fixed).

Story

Red-April is a Disco-like, where the main protagonist has multiple voices in her head. Conversations with multiple characters have branching paths and unique dialog. Due to time constraints, I didn't write dice roll mechanics or failing paths (though some choices are more successful than others).

You control Muth Bleire, a Red-April inspector sent in from out of town into the province of Drosport. She gets assigned a missing children's case while the local police force are busy doing other things, and eventually her investigation merges with the political strife within the community.

There's some funny moments, there's very depressing and crude moments as well. I at least hope you enjoy.

My thoughts

I've complied my thoughts on my blog site where I go over developing the game and the subtext within each scene, as well as some easter eggs that reference my past works and other references.

I think it's a fun read, though I do recommend playing the game first. Note that it does talk about mature topics (sex, consent, death, suicide).
